Loans of the Icelanders

The Icelandic Confederation of Labour recently had a survey done on what kind of loans Icelanders have.

One in three homes in Iceland has a car loan in foreign currency. Those who have a price-indexed car loan in ISK are 12,5% of the nation.

Only 9% have a currency loan on their home and 62% an ISK loan, price-indexed of course. Ten percent have another kind of loan on their home.

Sixteen percent have no loans, mostly in the youngest and oldest age groups.
